Amar Gupta
MIT Principal Investigator
Dr. Amar Gupta has worked at MIT on full-time basis for 25 years in different positions that involved analysis and leveraging of opportunities at the intersection of technology and business. He has analyzed evolving innovations in products and services from multiple perspectives including strategic, business, technical, economic, legal, and public policy. He has served as an advisor to leading US organizations, international companies, and specialized agencies of the United Nations.
Dr. Gupta possesses extensive experience of nucleating new technologies and business processes, several of which are in broad use around the world. Examples include the patented technologies and business processes for electronic processing of bank checks and innovative ideas that led to deployment of telemedicine technologies across states, countries, and continents. The contributions to banking transactions and healthcare practice led to his selection to the coveted position of IEEE Fellow.
